Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of CubeSteps: Cube Solver & Guide (the "App"), developed by Pham Quang Trung ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. A parent or guardian must approve a minor's use and purchases where required by law.

1. License and Permitted Use

For the iOS App, your software license is governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms describe app-specific use and purchases and do not replace that license agreement. If these Terms conflict with that agreement regarding your iOS software license, that agreement prevails, subject to applicable law. For other platforms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes on devices you own or control, subject to the applicable app store rules. You must not unlawfully copy, redistribute, resell, bypass purchase protections, or reverse engineer the App, except where applicable law or an open-source license permits it. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

2. Puzzle Guides and Solutions

The App provides educational guides, algorithms, camera color detection, animated solutions, patterns, and virtual puzzles. Camera detection may be affected by lighting and your puzzle's colors. Check the entered or scanned colors before following a solution. We do not guarantee that every puzzle state can be recognized or solved, or that every guide is free of errors. You are responsible for how you handle your physical puzzle.

3. Pro Purchases

The App is free to download. Available Pro products, their prices, billing periods, and included features are displayed in the App before purchase. Lifetime Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the advanced features described in the App at the time of purchase. It is not an automatically renewing subscription. "Lifetime" refers to Pro access for the supported life of the App; it does not promise perpetual operation or compatibility with every future device or operating system. This does not limit your statutory consumer rights.

If you choose an annual Pro subscription offered in the App, it is billed yearly and renews automatically unless you cancel through your app store account before the renewal deadline shown by the store. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your store account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues until the end of the paid period, unless the store refunds or revokes the purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. The store's billing terms and your statutory rights apply.

The applicable app store displays the price and handles payment under its terms. RevenueCat verifies your entitlement. Use Restore Purchases with the store account used for the original purchase to recover eligible access. Availability on another platform depends on that platform's purchase rules; a purchase does not automatically transfer between Apple and Google accounts. Refund requests are subject to the applicable store's procedures and your rights under law. Internet access may be needed for purchase verification and restoration.

4. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information, including camera scanning and purchases. Third-party services and external links are also subject to their own terms and policies.

5. Availability and Liability

We may update the App to improve features or compatibility. Features may depend on your device, operating system, permissions, and service availability. To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses to the extent allowed by law. These terms do not exclude mandatory warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot legally be limited.

6. Platform Terms and Termination

The App is provided by us, and questions about its operation or support should be directed to us. Apple does not provide maintenance or support for the App. Your iOS license, including its termination provisions, remains governed by the Apple Standard EULA. For copies obtained through Google Play, the applicable Google Play terms also apply. You can stop using the App by uninstalling it. We may terminate a license granted by us for a material breach, subject to applicable law and the governing platform license.

7. Changes and Contact

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date above and provide additional notice where required. For questions about the App, purchases, or these terms, contact phamcham.dev@gmail.com. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
